Visa guide

Any foreigner who intends to enter the Republic of Korea must hold a valid passport and a visa.
If the visa has expired or the purpose of visit does not match the visa type, the visa holder may be denied entry into the Republic of Korea.

Any of the following foreigners may enter the Republic of Korea without a visa:
  • Any person who is a national of a country that has entered into a Visa Exemption Agreement with the Republic of Korea;
  • Any person who has been granted an entry permission, as provided under the Presidential Decree;
  • Any person who has obtained permission to reenter or is exempted from requiring permission for reentry;
  • Any person who departed from the Republic of Korea with an issued refugee travel certificate, and is reentering the country before the term of validity has expired.
